Cheery robin’s egg blue details. An adorably vintage-inspired bride. A touching tribute to beloved late family members. This charming summer lake wedding from Stephanie N. Baker Photography just plain makes me happy! Molly and Eric were married in an intimate ceremony on the forested Northern Michigan lake where Molly spent childhood summers with extended family. Their biggest priority? That their guests have fun! I think they succeeded and more some. Thanks to the talented Stephanie for these lovely images!
From Molly: Before the wedding, I lost my grandparents and uncle/godfather with whom I was very close. As a surprise, my mom attached tiny photos of my lost loved ones to the backs of my shoes so that they could walk with me throughout the day. Keeping their memory alive on my wedding day, both through the location and the photos, was a beautiful tribute.
The reception was held both indoors and outdoors, and was all about having fun. Our friends, the Appleseed Collective, played toe-tapping folk-gypsy-jazz music while guests danced and sipped on Michigan wines and signature cocktails (whiskey sweets and whiskey sours). While planning the day, our biggest hope was that guests would leave knowing they had a great time.
