Once in a while a wedding comes along that knocks us off our feet. Bonnie and Ian’s laid-back boho chic wedding at the University of Washington’s Botanic Gardens is brimming with personal touches, from the summery all-white palette (even the guests were asked to wear white) to the music and food celebrating Bonnie’s Cajun roots (the bride cooked the beans, rice and cornbread herself!). With the natural setting, simple details and picnic table seating, the fete had the feel of a happy family reunion, full of love, laughter and dancing. A big thanks to Crozier Photography for sharing Bonnie and Ian’s beautiful day.
Instead of holding their ceremony at the UW center for urban horticulture, Bonnie and Ian chose to get married in a field overlooking Lake Washington. It was a 10-minute trek from the reception venue, but every one of the guests opted to walk. Once the wedding party arrived, they were welcomed by a Gospel choir.
Held in a shaded orchard, the wedding reception featured a horseshoe-shaped picnic table more than 100 feet long. In the center of the grove, petals were scattered in an infinity sign.
