Romantic Bicycle Wedding in the Mountains (Sort of)

Bride and groom with a white wedding bike
I wish I could share this lovely bicycle wedding with you today. Unfortunately, it doesn’t really exist – this is just a stock photo (albeit a very pretty one!). I hope to get back to our regularly scheduled programming soon, but for the moment, we’ve got our hands full dealing with a little obstacle. See, our content is being blatantly stolen and posted without permission on dozens of websites based in Turkey, along with the images of the many talented photographers gracious enough to share their amazing work with us. These sites are stealing right from our feed – each time a new post goes up, it soon appears all over the web. As you might imagine, this has been incredibly frustrating.

Our point here isn’t to complain or to trick anyone into clicking on this post. (Actually, it is kind of our hope that the content thieves will upload this post without reading it, ’cause we think that’d be kind of funny.) Rather, it’s to notify our readers of what’s going on, and assure you that we’ll be back soon with the many beautiful weddings waiting in our queue. In fact, now that our new website design is complete, it’s our goal to begin publishing with more frequency. So in short, thank you for reading, thanks for your patience – and we’ll be back very soon. :)

Colorful Retro Ranch Wedding: Gwen + Cory

Retro Rustic Turqouise and Red Wedding in Sonoma with Vintage Airstream
Gwen + Cory’s rustic-meets-retro wedding at Dawn Ranch Lodge is an exercise in eye candy – a bold vintage-inspired turquoise and red palette, a shiny Airstream, a post-ceremony ride on a bicycle-built-for-two, stunning florals, and, of course, lots of sweet handmade details. Gwen, a clothing designer by trade (hence the amazing vintage dress!), DIY’ed the calico table runners, place cards and succulent displays, while Cory crafted the adorable wooden cake toppers in the couple’s likeness – complete with a tiny banjo and a replica of Mr. Peanut, their rescue dog and ring bearer. It doesn’t get sweeter than this, kids! Thanks to Liz Caruana Weddings for sharing these fabulous photos – and congrats to Gwen + Cory.

More from Liz Caruana Weddings: “The all-white bridal cabin, the daisy-filled meadow for the reception, and the tree-lined pool and cabana area for the after party: There are so many wonderful details that Gwen and Cory crafted around their color theme of turquoise and red, it’s stunning to see them all play together. The groomsmen’s suspenders and pocket squares, the bridesmaids’ dresses, jewelry and flowers, and even their nails follow the theme. The matching does not stop there! Gwen, a clothing designer by trade, created the table runners, candle holders, place cards and succulent displays donned in a different print all in theme. The cake topper, handmade by Cory, was the cutest wood and felt figurines in the likeness of the bride and groom, including a tiny banjo played by Cory and a replica of Mr. Peanut their rescue pup and ring bearer. This teeny version of the newlyweds stood atop their three-layer turquoise lace and red strawberry cake.

Gwen’s friends are truly wonderful and helped out with everything from make up, to flowers, to DJing. Gwen’s vintage dress was to die for! Long, flowing with white lace, and embroidery all accented by red Bakelite jewelry and custom-made red suede shoes. Gwen walked down the aisle arm in arm with her parents and accompanied by a single guitarist. It was fitting that bikes were incorporated into their special day as Cory proposed to Gwen at the finish of her epic ride from San Francisco to L.A. After vows were exchanged they rode off together on a tandem with Mr. Peanut in the front basket for photos in front of the family Airstream brought up from Gwen’s parents’ home in Laguna Beach, California. Travel is also a big part of the couple’s lives as Gwen and Cory make it a point to go on an epic trip every year. Cory’s family made a special trip from his hometown of Mississauga, Canada to celebrate in the festivities of the weekend. Gwen and Cory created a truly magical atmosphere that paired beautifully with the rustic ranch setting.”

Anthropologie Inspired Texas Brunch Wedding Reception: Jeannine + Gib

Shabby Chic Anthropologie Inspired Champagne Brunch Wedding in Texas

We’re suckers for everything Anthropologie, so when we heard Jeannine had planned her Texas champagne brunch wedding reception with the retailer’s shabby chic aesthetic in mind, we were hooked. Turns out the couple’s family-friendly fete at Bauer Ranch was even sweeter than we imagined. Mason jars filled with preserves and other goodies, pretty DIY pennants, a vintage blue truck turned tailgate kids’ bar – and to top it all off, the groom surprised everyone by shaving his handlebar mustache! With lawn games and a fun, laid-back vibe, this celebration reminds me of the ultimate family barbecue. Thanks so much to Lizard Nickel Photography for sharing – and congrats to Jeannine + Gib!
